Notary Services

Acknowledgment

  • Cost - $15 Per Each Signature We Acknowledge. Price is set by the Secretary Of The State Of California.

This is the most common notary service. It involves the notary verifying the identity of the signer, ensuring they sign the document willingly, and then attaching their official seal. This service is typically used for real estate transactions, legal documents, and financial agreements.

Jurat

  • A jurat is a notarial service where the signer must swear or affirm the truthfulness of the contents of the document in front of the notary. The notary will then complete the required jurat certificate, which is attached to the document. This service is often used for affidavits and sworn statements.

Copy Certification

  • This service is used to certify that a document is a true and accurate reproduction of an original. The notary will examine the original document, make a photocopy, and then attach a certificate stating its authenticity. Copy certification is commonly used for educational certificates, passports, and other vital records.

Signature Witnessing

  • A notary can act as a witness to the signing of a document, verifying the identity of the signer and ensuring they sign willingly. The notary will then add their official seal to the document. This service is often required for legal documents, wills, and trusts.

Protesting

  • Notaries can also provide protest services for negotiable instruments, such as checks and promissory notes. When a payment is dishonored or disputed, the notary can create a formal protest by recording the details and reasons for non-acceptance or non-payment.
